Two rape suspects arrested in separate incidents
Two men were arrested after they were linked to two separate cases of rape in the OR Tambo District.
On Wednesday, 04 October 2023, a 28-year-old man from Ngqeleni was arrested for allegedly raping his two cousins aged 6 and 12. It is further alleged that the victims were raped between April and August 2023. The suspect is due to appear in the Ngqeleni Magistrate’s Court tomorrow on charges of rape.
In the second incident, on Wednesday, 04 October 2023, in Tsolo, a 35-year-old man was nabbed for allegedly raping and assaulting his ex-girlfriend following a maintenance dispute. A suspect is expected to appear in the Tsolo Magistrate’s Court tomorrow on charges of rape and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
