Petrusburg Farm Foreman Sentenced to 44 Years for Rape

PETRUSBURG – A 56-year-old farm foreman in Petrusburg has been sentenced to 44 years in prison for the rape of a 27-year-old woman. The incident occurred on November 25, 2022, when the victim visited the farm for potential employment.

According to South African Police Service, the foreman raped her twice during the night while she was sleeping. The victim managed to escape and reported the incident to the Petrusburg Police Station. Detective Constable Tshepo Moshwaesi and Prosecutor Mrs. Mosiane’s collaboration led to the foreman’s conviction on two counts of rape.
