European Union Provides 10 Billion XOF in Budgetary Support to Togo

Lomé, Togo – Togo has received a significant financial boost from the European Union, with a donation of 10 billion XOF earmarked for its 2024 budget. This grant is a part of the collaborative efforts with Team Europe and is aimed at supporting several critical initiatives in the country.

According to Africa News Agency, this funding will be channeled towards vital projects including decentralization, sustainable agribusiness, and improving access to basic social services. The donation reflects the strength of the partnership between Togo and the European Union. From 2021 to 2024, the EU’s total financial commitment to Togo is approximately 95 billion XOF, which is equivalent to 145 million euros.
