Oshikoto Police Investigate Theft of Toyota Hilux in Oniipa

ONIIPA, Namibia — The Oshikoto Regional Police are currently investigating a case involving the theft of a Toyota Hilux pick-up from a private residence in Oniipa. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday in the Okakwiyu residential area.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Namibian Police Force’s Crime Investigations Coordinator for the region, the theft occurred around 07h00. “It is alleged that suspects entered the complainant’s yard and stole the vehicle,” Ekandjo reported to Nampa. The stolen vehicle is described as a white Toyota Hilux 4×4, bearing the registration number N 310105 SH, and valued at approximately N.dollars 140,000.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the identities of the suspects remain unknown. The police have discovered two shoe prints at the scene, which may aid in the ongoing investigation.
