Tunis Stock Exchange organises annual bell ringing ceremony for gender equality

The Tunis Stock Exchange (TSE), on Wednesday, organised the annual ceremony “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality,» in honour and in the presence of students of the International School of Business of Sfax

The ceremony is organised by Stock Exchanges in the World, in close coordination with the International Federation of Stock Exchanges (WFE) and the United Nations SSE Initiative. It aims to promote the principle of gender equality and women’s rights with stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and to help achieve, in particular, the 5th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), the TSE said in a statement.

The representation of women in the Boards of Directors of listed companies reached 13.9% in 2022, against 11.3% during the year 2021, or a number equal to 103 women out of a total number of 742 members of boards, according to a study prepared by the Tunis Stock Exchange.

The Tunis Stock Exchange, in September 2015, joined the United Nations SSE Exchanges initiative, which focuses on promoting and strengthening skills with actors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a view to achieving SDGs.
