Two arrested after Kranskop Post Office business robbery

A quick response from SAPS members and security companies, after a Post Office business robbery that occurred at Kranskop policing area resulted in the arrest of two suspects.

On 03 August 2023 in the morning it is alleged that an employee from the Post Office was opening the Post Office when five men appeared from nowhere and assaulted him. They demanded cash from him and managed to get away with an undisclosed amount of money.

They were then chased by SAPS members together with security companies. Two suspects were arrested whilst one(1) fell from a cliff and died. Upon questioning the suspects, they confirmed that they were seven(7) in total and four(4) are still at large.

An undisclosed amount of money, two(2) vehicles and clothing were recovered and were all taken to Kranskop SAPS. The investigation continues.
