Financial market: Gambia to launch its securities exchange

The Gambia plans to launch its first securities exchange to expand financing options for its businesses. The exchange to be named Capital Market of The Gambia will begin operations at the Central Bank and will not have a managing director to help keep costs low. Ultimately, the new stock market will improve the options available to companies to raise funds.
