Burkinabe striker Akhmat de Grozny Mohamed Konaté has been naturalized Russian-we learned from the Russian agency, TASS.

According to the TASS agency, the information comes from the press service of the Russian football club Akhmat.

Born in Senegal, Konaté is part of the Burkina Faso national team.

“We congratulate Konaté on his Russian citizenship! Recall that the footballer’s wife, Kristina, is from Siberia. Their daughter Yasmina is seven months old,” the press service said in a statement.

Konaté, 25, has been playing for Akhmat since 2021. In total, he has played 63 games for the club, scoring 23 goals and making 2 assists
