Burkina Faso Defense Minister Commends Niangoloko Forces, Urges Greater Efforts in Territorial Reconquest

NIANGOLOKO — General Kassoum Coulibaly, Burkina Faso’s Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans, on Friday visited the Niangoloko detachment to extend commendations and motivate the troops further in their efforts to reclaim national territories.

According to Burkina Information Agency, General Coulibaly praised the forces for their accomplishments and urged them to intensify their efforts towards the total reconquest of the territory. The visit was part of a broader engagement that saw the Minister leading a delegation which included Sana Mahamoudou, the minister in charge of security, and Colonel Moussa Diallo, the deputy chief of general staff of the army and commander of the theater of operations.

Since being established, the Niangoloko detachment has conducted several operations that have facilitated the resettlement of numerous villages, playing a pivotal role in the ongoing efforts to restore stability and security in the region.
