Newly Appointed Governor Sebastian Ndeitunga Calls for Support in Ohangwena Region

Ohangwena: Sebastian Ndeitunga, recently appointed as the Governor of the Ohangwena Region, has called for the support of the region’s residents following his appointment by President Hage Geingob. In an interview with Nampa, Ndeitunga emphasized his readiness to lead the region and his intention to build a team to address local issues.

According to The Namibian Press Agency, Ndeitunga acknowledged the challenges ahead, citing the longstanding issues in the region, but expressed optimism that through collective effort and discipline, the region could overcome poverty. He emphasized his commitment to serving the nation, the president, and the region by ensuring quality services for residents and visitors.

The former Inspector General of the Namibian Police Force expressed his honor and pride in being chosen for the role by President Geingob, recognizing the pool of qualified candidates available for the position. His appointment comes after the president relieved Walde Ndevashiya of his duties as Governor of the Ohangwena Region, effective November 16, 2023.
