Sudan Appeals for Ethiopia’s Engagement in Peace Efforts

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia’s State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, met with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali Mohammed, to discuss bilateral relations and regional peace initiatives.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, during the meeting, the Sudanese Foreign Minister highlighted Ethiopia’s crucial role in Sudan’s peace-making efforts and requested Ethiopia’s continued involvement based on the historical and fraternal ties between the two countries. Ambassador Mesganu reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to a peaceful resolution in Sudan, emphasizing the importance of a peace process led and owned by the Sudanese people.
