ADDIS ABABA — Ethiopia has officially launched its Transitional Justice Policy, aimed at systematically addressing historical human rights violations and fostering national reconciliation.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the launch event held at the Skylight Hotel, was attended by key government figures including Chief Government Whip Tesfaye Beljige and Justice Minister Gedion Timothewos, along with foreign dignitaries. The policy, developed with contributions from the Transitional Justice Working Group of Experts, seeks to establish a comprehensive framework based on justice, accountability, reconciliation, and redress, marking a significant step towards resolving longstanding internal conflicts and grievances.
