Al-Haouz earthquake: His Majesty the King goes to the bedside of the injured and donates blood


His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God help him, visited, Tuesday afternoon, the “Mohammed VI” University Hospital Center in Marrakech where the Sovereign inquired about the state of health of the injured , victims of the painful earthquake that occurred on Friday September 8 and which caused significant human and material losses in several regions of the Kingdom.



Thus, His Majesty the King visited the intensive care unit and the hospitalization service for victims of the earthquake where the Sovereign was informed of the state of health of the injured people as well as the care provided to them by the mobilized medical teams. following this major natural disaster.



This Royal initiative of great moral support for the injured and their families reinforces the various initiatives and measures taken, in accordance with the High Royal Instructions, to rescue, assist and support people affected by the Al-Haouz earthquake.



Some 2,171 injured people were admitted to various hospital centers in the Marrakech-Safi region, including 484 major injuries and 1,570 minor injuries. 248 people are still hospitalized.



On this occasion, HM King Mohammed VI was kind enough to donate His blood, a strong gesture which also testifies to the Royal benevolence and expresses the full solidarity of the Sovereign and His total compassion for the victims and the grieving families.



The visit of His Majesty the King to the “Mohammed VI” University Hospital reflects the high concern with which the Sovereign surrounds the victims of the Al-Haouz earthquake, and confirms the symbiosis that exists between His Majesty the King and His people in the happy and misfortune and which allows the Kingdom of Morocco to manage the crises of the moment and to foresee the future with enthusiasm and determination.
