Ioba High Commissioner Advocates Closer Ties Between Security Forces and Local Populations


DANO – In a ceremony marking the raising of the national colors on Monday, May 6, 2024, Bernadette Adenyo / Sermé, the High Commissioner of Ioba province, called for enhanced cooperation and understanding between the defense and security forces (FDS) and the local populations.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director of the Ioba national police, the event took place at the provincial directorate and was attended by various dignitaries, including FDS members and volunteers for the defense of the fatherland (VDP). Zouri emphasized that the primary goal of the police services in Ioba is to maintain public tranquility.



During her address, Adenyo / Sermé expressed her gratitude to the DPPN of Ioba and the central police commissioner of Dano for their hospitality. She stressed the importance of the FDS not isolating themselves but rather engaging more actively with other bodies and the community to foster a collaborative environment.



The High Commissioner also took the opportunity to clarify the proper conduct expected during the flag-raising ceremony. “According to the decree of the Grand Chancellor of the Burkinabè Orders of 2018, attendees must stand with arms straight and pressed to the body, feet together, and eyes on the flag,” she instructed.



Additionally, Adenyo / Sermé extended her appreciation and congratulations to all workers in recognition of the international commemoration of Labor Day on May 1.
