Deputy Minister Kodwa to donate netball kit and equipment to two teams in the OR Tambo District

The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Responsible for State Security, Mr. Zizi Kodwa, will on Friday, 14 October 2022, donate netball kit and equipment to two local netball teams in the OR Tambo District.

The teams approached the Deputy Minister for assistance with kits and equipment early this year.

As part of the broader social cohesion program of government and the efforts to encourage the youth to get involved in sporting activities instead of drug abuse, Deputy Minister agreed to assist the two local teams.

“South Africa will be hosting the Netball World Cup next year in Cape Town and it is encouraging that we have young girls being inspired to take part in the sporting activity” he said
