Journalists and Communicators Undergo Training on Burkina Faso’s Cotton Industry

SYA—A two-day workshop aimed at enhancing the expertise of journalists and communicators on the Burkinabè cotton sector was held in Sya. The event was organized by the African Network of Journalists and Communicators in the Cotton Sector (RAJC-FC), in collaboration with the National Union of Cooperative Societies of Cotton Producers of Burkina (UNPCB).

According to Burkina Information Agency, Network Coordinator, the workshop was designed to provide attendees with up-to-date information on the cotton sector, equipping them with the skills to report accurately and comprehensively. Yaya Sibiri Dao, representing the president of the UNPCB, welcomed the initiative as a crucial step in enabling media professionals to source and process information directly from the industry. The workshop covered various aspects of the cotton industry’s environment, operations, and organization, thereby broadening the participants’ understanding of the sector.
