PM Abiy Advocates for Stronger Unity Among African Nations to Tap Into Continent’s Potential

ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasized the necessity of increased unity and collaboration among African Union (AU) member states to fully realize the continent’s potential.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has been actively engaging in bilateral meetings with the leaders of Burundi, Angola, Mozambique, and Nigeria. The discussions have centered on fostering joint development initiatives. “Harnessing our continent’s potential requires enhanced collaboration and solidarity among all member states,” Abiy remarked, highlighting the importance of these interactions for the collective progress of the continent.

The conversations took place against the backdrop of the 37th AU Summit in Addis Ababa, which saw the gathering of several African leaders and heads of international organizations. The summit serves as a critical platform for dialogue on the advancement of unity and development across Africa.
