Burkina Faso’s Head of State Emphasizes Respect for National Flag to Children

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the Head of State of Burkina Faso, addressed 236 children on Monday, stressing the importance of respecting the national flag, which he described as “the essence of the existence of Burkina Faso.”

According to Burkina Information Agency, speaking after singing the national anthem with the children, who had gathered to discuss their aspirations on the occasion of World Children’s Day, Captain Traoré underscored that no one in Burkina Faso is above the flag. He urged everyone to stop and salute the flag whenever they see it being raised or lowered.

Captain Traoré explained to the children that the Fighting Forces are currently battling enemies (terrorists) to ensure a better future for them. He highlighted the role of the national flag in symbolizing the country’s identity and the collective effort required to protect and honor it.
