Saudi Arabia to Host 2034 World Cup, FIFA Confirms

LUANDA – The International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) has officially announced Saudi Arabia as the host country for the 2034 World Cup. FIFA President Gianni Infantino made the announcement on Tuesday, October 31, through his social media page.

According to Angola Press News Agency, this decision marks a significant milestone in making football a truly global sport, as the upcoming World Cup editions will take place across five continents and involve ten countries. Following the 2026 World Cup, set to be hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, the 2030 edition will be held in a joint effort by the Kingdom of Morocco (Africa), Portugal and Spain (Europe), and Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay (South America).

Infantino expressed his enthusiasm about the global reach of the upcoming tournaments, highlighting the involvement of African, American, Asian, and European continents, and emphasizing the unifying power of football.
