MEDIA ALERT: MINERAL RESOURCES AND ENERGY COMMITTEE TO BEGIN WITH ITS MEETINGS OF THE THIRD TERM PROGRAMME

The Portfolio Committees on Mineral Resources and Energy will from tomorrow, 8 August 2023, begin with its regular meetings of the third term programme.

The committee will hold a virtual meeting between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm to consider and adopt three reports on the provincial public hearings on the Upstream Petroleum Resources Development (UPRD) Bill [B13-2021], study tour to the United Kingdom, and the report on the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Review Summit.

According to its third term programme, the committee is planning to finalise deliberations and adopt a final report on the UPRD Bill by mid-September 2023.
