Announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the evacuation of seven more people, Greeks and their family members, from Sudan (25. 04. 2023)

Seven more people, Greeks, and their family members were evacuated from Sudan and arrived in Egypt by road, where they were welcomed by an official of the Greek Embassy in Cairo.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias extended his warm thanks to his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, for the assistance provided by his country in the efforts to evacuate Greeks and their family members from Sudan.

The process and actions to evacuate our compatriots and their family members from Sudan continue in close coordination with our partners in the EU and our allies.
