ECOWAS: Nigeria takes over the rotating presidency

The Nigerian Head of State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is now the current President of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS.

His appointment came at the end of the 63 rd Summit of ECOWAS Heads of State in Guinea-Bissau, which focused on the ongoing military transitions in Burkina Faso, Mali and the Republic of Guinea.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu replaces Bissau-Guinean Umaro Sissoco Embalo in this position.
