IMF Forecasts 6.3% GDP Growth for Benin in 2024 Amid Sub-Saharan Slowdown

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revised its economic outlook for Benin, predicting a 6.3% increase in real gross domestic product (GDP) for 2024.

According to a new release by the IMF, the forecast comes as sub-Saharan Africa is experiencing a decline in international demand and a rise in global interest rates. As a result, the region’s growth is expected to fall to 3.3% in 2023, marking the second consecutive year of decreased growth rates.
