Bazèga/Hygienic management of menses: Hygiene equipment and sewing machines for Gana high school

The Burkinabè coalition for women’s rights (CDBF) donated hygiene materials and sewing machines on Thursday, June 15, 2023 to Gana high school in the rural town of Doulougou , to promote the hygienic management of menses.

The Burkinabè coalition for women’s rights (CBDF), in the process of implementing its “Paga Viim” project, handed over hygiene equipment and sewing machines for the benefit of the students of the Gana high school in the commune rural area of Doulougou.

This discount follows the awareness and training on the economic empowerment of the young girl through the hygienic management of menses for the benefit of the students of the establishment.

For Joseph Alain Sawadogo of the CBDF delegation, it is a symbolic delivery of materials to support high school girls in the context of the hygienic management of their menses following the awareness and training that the CDBF had organized.

The equipment given is essentially made up of brooms, balls of soap, cans of liquid soap, buckets, mops. In addition, there are 2 sewing machines for seamstresses in charge of making the girls’ sanitary napkins.

The principal educational adviser of the Gana Apiou high school Joseph Pissiga representing, the principal, thanked the CDBF for the choice made on their establishment.

The “Paga Viim” project, according to him, has a significant impact within the school, because, he specifies, there is a positive change in the behavior of the students.

Also, he continues, the awareness and training organized within the establishment allow girls to better manage their periods, especially with the repair of the toilets.

As a reminder, the CBDF’s “Paga Viim” project aims to support students in better hygienically managing their periods and strengthening their education
