Civics FC Targets Victory Against Blue Waters FC in Upcoming Premier League Match

WINDHOEK—Civics Football Club (FC) is gearing up for their Premier League home match against Blue Waters Sports Club, slated for Saturday at the University of Namibia (UNAM) sports stadium. Currently occupying the 13th place in the Debmarine Namibia Premiership log standings, Civics FC is keen on improving their position with a win over sixth-place Blue Waters FC.

According to News Releases by Namibia Press Agency, Civics FC Head Coach Jeremy Zimmer stressed the necessity of preparation for the upcoming match. Zimmer noted, “We have to win to get out of that position that we are in. It will not be a comfortable nor easy game, but the team needs to build momentum and win to move up the Premier League log standings.”

On the other side, Blue Waters FC Head Coach Lucky Shipanga views the weekend as significant for his team’s aspirations. According to Shipanga, Blue Waters FC aims to gain maximum points to further their standings in the Premier League. “We are going there with our team spirit and accumulate maximum points,” said Shipanga.

Shipanga also cautioned his team to maintain humility and tackle each game individually. The players have adequately rested, and Erastus Kulula, who was previously suspended due to a red card, is enthusiastic about his return. Blue Waters supporters are fervently backing their team, hopeful for a three-point win.

In subsequent fixtures, Blue Waters FC will go head-to-head with Tigers FC on Sunday at 14h00 at the UNAM stadium. Civics FC, meanwhile, is scheduled to face Okahandja United FC on Sunday at 16h00 at the same venue.
