Somali Cabinet Approves Vital Civil Registration Bill

Mogadishu – In a landmark decision, the Cabinet of the Federal Government of Somalia approved the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Bill.

According to Somali National News Agency, the bill, proposed by the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation, was announced in a special Cabinet Meeting. H.E Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, the Minister of Interior, lauded the Cabinet’s decision, noting that the bill will strengthen local governance and provide digitalized essential services across Somalia.
