Ouagadougou Police Apprehend Suspected Moped Thief

OUAGADOUGOU—The Nongremasson gendarmerie in Ouagadougou has detained a man accused of stealing multiple mopeds. The arrest occurred after an investigation by the local gendarmerie communication service of Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the suspect, a foreign national, is believed to have stolen at least seven YAMAHA mopeds, including six of the SIRIUS model and one FINN model. The thefts primarily targeted young people and women who had recently purchased these vehicles.
