Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias to visit Kazakhstan (04-05.12.2022)

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will travel to Kazakhstan (Astana) tomorrow, Sunday, where he will hold a series of meetings with senior officials.

In particular, on Monday, December 5, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will be received by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Afterwards, the Minister will meet with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tileuberdi.

Upon conclusion of talks, the two Ministers are expected to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between Diplomatic Academies.

Joint statements to the press will take place at approximately 08:45 (Greek time), followed by a working lunch.  

The visit will conclude with a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Governor of “Astana International Financial Center”, Kairat Kelimbetov.

During the above-mentioned meetings, talks will, inter alia, focus on the further strengthening of bilateral relations in all areas as well as on issues of global and regional interest.

The visit to Kazakhstan follows a series of meetings between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his counterparts from Central Asian and Caucasus states, which took place in Poland in the context of the OSCE Ministerial Council (01.12.2022).
