The former residence of Leo’s circle commander cleaned up

The president of the special delegation of the commune of Léo, Kassoum Koalaga organized on Wednesday March 15, 2023, a day of healthiness to clean up the former residence of the commander of Léo circle.

The president of the special delegation, Kassoum Koalaga indicated that the mobilization of the populations made it possible to clean up the former residence of the commander of Léo circle.

“Our call for the cleaning of the site was supported and encouraged by people of good will on this morning of Wednesday March 15, 2023”, rejoiced Mr. Koalaga.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to a local son who provided them with a dump truck which facilitated the evacuation of the garbage collected on the site.

“Garbage collection and collection was made possible thanks to the unfailing contribution of a youth association,” he added.

President Koalaga took the opportunity to invite the local populations, especially traders, to adopt eco-citizen behavior and to avoid considering ”the course of the oldest colonial building in the province” as a dump.

“In perspective, we are going to initiate awareness and information campaigns to bring market users to have the reflex of throwing garbage in bins,” he added.

“As part of the public-private partnership, we plan to transform this secular building into a municipal museum in the short term, where works of art and valuables will be exhibited,” he said.
