Tuy/Tabaski 2023: Muslim worshipers prayed for unity and social cohesion

The Muslim faithful of Houndé in the province of Tuy, celebrated on Wednesday June 28, 2023 in Houndé, the feast of Eid el Kébir, under the sign of the pacification of Burkina Faso and for unity and social cohesion.

The Muslim faithful of Houndé performed the great Tabaski prayer this Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in several places in the city of Houndé. It was in the courtyard of primary school A that Imam Cheik Sidi Mohamed Sana led the prayer.

For him, it is a great day for the Muslims of Houndé and in general of Burkina who celebrate Eid el Kébir.

Imam Cheik Sidi Mohamed Sana maintained that wishes were expressed for the return of peace in the country.

“We prayed for peace and for Allah to assist our authorities in their mission to pacify the country,” he explained.

The ceremony was attended by a delegation of administrative and religious authorities led by the High Commissioner of Tuy, Issiaka Segda.

The provincial authority said it had come to show solidarity with the Muslim faithful and wish them a happy Eid el-Kébir feast.

For the parish priest of Houndé, Dieudonné Bouna, the presence alongside the Muslim faithful is a sign of living together harmoniously in the city of hard bone (Houndé).

He also said that he had come on behalf of Catholic Christians to unite with the “Muslim brothers” to pray for peace in Burkina Faso.

For Dieudonné Bouna, this communion of prayer can contribute to the much sought-after unity and social cohesion between the sons and daughters of Burkina Faso.
