Special One wants to fight Natty

AC Boxing Academy owner, trainer and promoter, Immanuel ‘Imms’ Moses has said his camp is going to make an offer to Namibia’s Super Featherweight boxer Nathanael ‘Natty’ Kakololo to face Flame ‘Special One’ Nangolo.

AC Boxing Academy will be hosting its second boxing bonanza of the year in Windhoek on 14 October 2023.

Speaking at a media conference held here on Thursday, Moses said he aims to ensure that the Kakololo and Nangolo fight takes place.

“The only advantage Kakololo has is experience. Special One needs this type of fight to gain experience, and for him to be the greatest, he must fight the best,” he said.

The AC Boxing Academy owner and promoter added that they have 30 days for the fighters to reach an agreement.

“Special One is ranked higher than Kakololo in Namibia in the Super Featherweight category. We have a reasonable package for Kakololo who has fought in Europe before, despite him not winning a fight there,” said Moses.

Nangolo’s trainer, promoter and manager, warned Kakololo not to “play with a knife” by calling Special One a “small boy.”

“The records speak well as on paper Special One is ranked number one while on experience Kakololo is ranked number one. Therefore, Kakololo must not use the excuse of Nangolo being young,” he said, adding that they are well aware of excuses used by fighters when they are afraid of facing younger boxers.

Moses stated that both boxers have supporters in Windhoek who want to see this fight happen, therefore Kakololo must not use the excuse of age.

“If the boy is young, he must come and beat up the young boy so he can learn some manners,” he said.

Speaking at the same occasion, Nangolo said he is tired of talking as all he wants is to be in the ring with Kakololo so he can settle the matter of who the best boxer is between the two in their category.

During the boxing bonanza, Sakaria Lukas will also be making a return to the ring in an eight-round fight with an opponent who is still to be communicated. The boxer told the media that despite not having an opponent now, he is ready to face anyone as it is a matter of “eat or be eaten.”
