Julinho Sporting FC Sets Sights Beyond Defeating Chula Chula: Coach Luis Emphasizes Process

WINDHOEK — Nelson Luis, the head coach of Julinho Sporting Football Club, situated in Rundu, stressed the necessity of consistency and teamwork for success in the Debmarine Namibia Premiership, following a noteworthy victory earlier in the week.

According to Namibian Press Agency, the triumph over the up-and-coming Eeshoke Chula Chula FC, which took place on Wednesday, was a result of the team’s collective effort, strategic gameplay, and a strong desire to win. He pointed out that despite some perceptions, the ‘Rundu Lions’ are well-positioned within the league, taking into account the matches they have yet to play.

Julinho Sporting FC boasts an impressive record, having lost only two games this season and maintaining four clean sheets in six matches. Their morale remains elevated as they gear up for the weekend’s challenging game against the third-ranked African Stars FC. The encounter is set for Saturday at 16h00 at the Rundu Sport Stadium located in the Kavango-East region.

The team, however, will face this pivotal round eight match without two key players. Defensive midfielder and team captain Xoagub Alfons, along with central midfielder Jessy Nanyemba, will be absent due to pre-season injuries.

Luis expressed his anticipation of a team eager to win and satisfy their fans’ expectations. He highlighted the significance of demonstrating to supporters their importance and the team’s commitment to excellence. Luis extended his gratitude towards the fans for their presence at the victory over Chula Chula FC and called for their support in the upcoming games.

The weekend’s sporting action will continue as Julinho Sporting FC confronts Orlando Pirates FC in a potentially thrilling round nine fixture on Sunday at the Rundu Sports Stadium, starting at 14h00.
