Welkom K9 Unit Apprehends Alleged Drug Dealer in Bronville

Free State: A 32-year-old suspect has been arrested in Bronville for allegedly dealing in drugs, following a successful operation by the Welkom K9 Unit. The unit acted on information received about the suspect, leading to a significant seizure of drugs and cash.

According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the operation was conducted on November 14, 2023, at a residence on Golding Street in Bronville. The search resulted in the confiscation of 601 Mandrax tablets and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is scheduled to appear in the Welkom Magistrates Court on November 16, 2023. Brigadier Envor Solomon, the Acting District Commissioner of Lejweleputswa, commended the residents of Bronville for providing the information that led to the arrest and acknowledged the Welkom K9 Unit members for their prompt response and effective handling of the situation.
