Mogadishu – The Minister of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mohamud A. Sheikh Farah (Beenebeene), met with the USAID Mission Director in Somalia, Sheri Nouane Duncan-Jones.
According to Somali National News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Somalia and USAID. The discussions highlighted the need for post-Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) plan for economic development, emphasizing the effective use of the country’s systems. The meeting also marked a strategic shift from humanitarian aid to long-term development goals.
