Nairobi Set to Host Congolese Superstar Ya Levis at RAHA Fest 2024
Nairobi, Kenya – Iconic Congolese star Ya Levis Dalwear is scheduled to grace the stage in Nairobi for the RAHA Fest 2024. The event, which is to take place at Uhuru Gardens from March 30th to March 31st, will feature the renowned vocalist, songwriter, and choreographer, known for his contributions to Ndombolo and African Rhumba genres.
According to Kenya News Agency, Ya Levis will perform on both days of the festival starting at 4 p.m.
Ya Levis, celebrated for hits such as “Mokolo ya l’amour,” “Libala,” “Kachua,” “Mbang’u Te,” and “Nakati,” is expected to bring his dynamic performance and unique sound to the Kenyan capital. Emily Bisase, a representative of RAHA Fest, stated that Ya Levis’ music perfectly captures the festival’s ethos of celebration and unity, anticipating his set to be a standout moment of the event.
The festival will showcase a wide array of talent from across Africa, featuring artists like Nigerian star Davido, Ghana’s King Promise, South African musician Musa Keys, and Kenyan groups Hart The Band and rising star Nadia Mukami. Other performers include Kenyan RandB artist Nviiri the Storyteller, rap artist Femi One, Otile Brown, and the legendary Congolese musician JB Mpiana.
Expressing his excitement about his first performance in Kenya, Ya Levis remarked on the significance of Kenya to him and his eagerness to experience its vibrant culture and social scene firsthand. “I am thrilled to come to Kenya for the first time, and I’m honoured to be performing at the biggest festival in Africa,” he said, looking forward to joining the diverse and talented lineup of artists.
Organizers of RAHA Fest have urged those interested in attending to secure their tickets through the festival’s official website, with pricing set at Sh. 30,000 for VVIP tickets, Sh. 12,000 for weekend passes, and Sh. 6,000 for regular tickets.
