Bobo-Dioulasso: Prime Minister Me Kyelem and constituted bodies in unison for the rise of national colors

Present in Bobo-Dioulasso as part of the National State/Private Sector Meeting (RNESP), the Prime Minister, Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyelem de Tambela, members of his government and the Authorities of the region carried out the monthly raising of the national flag, this Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at the Bobo-Dioulasso Industrial Vocational Training Center.

Alongside the head of government, there were regional governors, heads of institutions, administrative and customary authorities, defense and security forces, economic operators as well as all the constituted bodies of the region of Hauts-Basins. It is a solemn ceremony which was marked by various interventions. The Secretary General of the Hauts-Bassins region, Mariama Konaté/Gnanou, representing the Governor, welcomed the presence of the Head of Government and the constituted bodies which enhances the brilliance of this ceremony of raising national colors.

Recalling the major activities held in her region, she expressed her gratitude to the Minister, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo for holding the workshop to raise awareness of tourism stakeholders against money laundering and the fight against terrorism. The SGR also took the opportunity to plead with the Head of Government for the reinforcement of the pipeline infrastructure in order to avoid other floods such as those experienced by the city of Sya at the end of June.

During this ceremony, a presentation of new officials promoted to the head of the regional directorates of administrative institutions was made. In this circumstance, Prime Minister Kyelem transmitted the greetings of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré to the audience. He recalled that the rise of colors this morning is a strong act, heavy with meaning that has been taken.

For him, “what is happening to us today [ed. insecurity] is perhaps the fault of certain parents, educators and institutions who have not been able to instil a sense of homeland and citizenship in children>>. He also added that the rise of colors should not be a routine without an impact on our behavior. Thus, Dr. Kyelem quoted famous people like Guimbi Ouattara, Tiéfo Amoro, who resisted foreign penetration, to whom we must be inspired to face the adversity of today.

This monthly raising ceremony of the colors is done every first Tuesday of the month in a rotating way in the different regional directions of the city of Bobo-Dioulasso. The next climb is scheduled to take place at the Regional Directorate of Health and Public Hygiene.
