Weekly Ministerial meeting discusses security, approves legislative proposals

The weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia chaired by the Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Justice and Constitution, H.E Hassan Moalim Mohamud Sh. Ali discussed the country’s security situation, and legislative proposals were approved.

The Council of Ministers listened to reports about the achievements of the Somali National Army in the war against the Al-Shabaab terrorists.

The council also condemned the cowardly attack by the militants on the Somali National Army’s training camp in Mogadishu. The Cabinet sent condolences to the Somali nation, the families and relatives of the martyred soldiers of the National Army, while at the same time praying to God for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The council has also passed several bills including:

1. The Somali Disability Rights Bill.

2. The Somali Agricultural Inspection and Legalization Service Agency Bill.

3. The Somali Agricultural Chemicals Control Bill.

4. Draft Law on Seeds and Varieties of Agricultural Plants.

5. Plant Protection and Discrimination Bill

6. The Specific Financial Sanctions Act.
