178 Adult Learners Among KCPE Candidates in Kajiado County

Kajiado — A total of 178 adult learners are partaking in this year’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations in Kajiado County.

According to Kenya News Agency, who spoke in Kajiado Central after overseeing the examination paper distribution, all logistical and security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety and credibility of the examinations.

Wasonga further stated that security personnel had been deployed at all distribution and examination centers to protect the examination papers and prevent unauthorized access. He emphasized that all systems were in place for the KCPE and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations, which started Monday and will conclude on Wednesday.

In Kajiado, 30,421 candidates are sitting for the KCPE exams across 691 centers, while 28,878 Grade 6 candidates are appearing for the KPSEA exams in 858 centers. The exams kicked off without any issues, signaling a well-organized effort on part of the authorities.

Nationally, 1,415,315 candidates are registered to take the KCPE examinations, marking the last cohort to sit for these exams under the current 8-4-4 educational system. Additionally, 1,282,574 Grade 6 students across the country are sitting for this year’s KPSEA exams.
