Niamey: The recently concluded Jam Graffiti and Dance Festival in Niamey paid tribute to the growing partnership between Niger and Russia through a series of vibrant murals celebrating both nations, according to reports from AIB.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event brought together Niger’s largest dance community, the Afro Dance Club, the Sannu-Sannu cultural association, and the Rico Art graffiti community. Over two days, the artists showcased their talents through live performances and public art displays. Cultural symbols of Niger were prominently featured, while, for the first time, images of Russian astronaut Yuri Gagarin and the Russian flag were painted on the central facades of Niamey.
The artists emphasized that the murals symbolized the Nigerien people’s choice to align with Russia, reflecting the strengthening ties between the two nations.
