Burkina/Ligue1, 5th day: Kozaf, bottom red, intends to react against Salitas
Kozaf coach Jean Jaurès Baia declared Thursday in Ouagadougou, during the pre-match press conference of the 5th day of Ligue 1, that his team would react on Sunday against to Salitas FC, also looking for victory.
The Kozaf team last in the standings and that of Salitas FC, both in search of a first victory this season, will face each other on Sunday during the 5th day of league1 at the Stade Issouf Joseph Conombo in Ouagadougou.
Representatives of both spoke at a pre-match press conference.
‘Today we come up against a strong team and it’s not easy because Salitas is one of the best teams in the championship so it won’t be easy for us. But we will do everything to come out with a good score,’ said Kozaf coach Jean Jaurès Baia.
Kozaf’s training coach mentioned that this is the trigger that will allow him and his players to be able to properly launch their season.
He expressed the major objective of his team which remains to maintain and said not to approach this match against Salitas with a lot of press
ure because ‘Salitas remains favorites of the match’.
In 4 Ligue 1 matches, the Kozaf Academicians have only recorded one draw. Since the start of the season, the Colombes de Salitas have also been looking for their first victory. The Salitas team, outgoing vice-champion, wants to do better this season and that would require a victory against Kozaf.
‘I would say that there is no revenge to take against Kozaf, we will just play and hope to win,’ said Salitas assistant coach Hugues Wilfried Dah.
‘We are only on the 4th day of the championship. Our goal is to do better than last season. But we don’t focus on wanting to be champion,’ he explains.
He also said that his team approaches all matches with an obligation to do well and always pull out all the stops to achieve victory.
The vice-captain of the doves Kalifa Nikiéma, for his part, expressed the wish to do everything to win the match against Kozaf despite the lack of realism of his team in front of the goals during their last matches.
