Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior Discusses Partnership with Netherlands Ambassador

Makueni: Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior recently met with the Netherlands Ambassador to Kenya, Maarten Brouwer, in his office in Wote. This meeting comes in the wake of Makueni’s second annual partners conference held in Nairobi, which centered on ethical fundraising and focused on fostering partnerships in sectors like green energy investment, health promotion, and agriculture.

According to Kenya News Agency, the partnership with the Netherlands will be integrated into the County Integrated Development Plan (2023-2027). He highlighted the crucial role of such partnerships in driving economic and sustainable development in Makueni. During the conference, the Governor called for an additional Sh49 billion to fill the funding gap for the 2023/2027 CIDP. The event brought together various stakeholders in health, water, education, environment, and energy, among other sectors.
