Ethiopia Launches Key Agricultural Strategies to Boost Food Security


Addis Ababa – Ethiopia has introduced three new agricultural strategies aimed at transforming its food systems and increasing food security and sovereignty, announced Agriculture Minister Girma Amante. The strategies, which include the National Food Safety and Quality Strategy for Primary Agricultural Produce, National Nutrition Sensitive Agrifood Systems Strategy, and Post-Harvest Management Strategy, were launched today in a bid to address critical issues from farm to table.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, these initiatives are essential for reducing food losses, which he noted could be as high as 30% in developing countries, and improving overall economic and health outcomes in Ethiopia.
