Chinese Ex-Diplomat Encourages African Nations to Emulate China’s Development Strategies


BEIJING – Yang Baozhen, a former Chinese consul in France and a project manager at the Canadian International Development Agency, spoke on Sunday in Beijing about the necessity for African countries to adopt a collective approach to overcome poverty and stimulate development.



According to Burkina Information Agency, During a conference attended by media professionals, Ms. Yang highlighted China’s historical poverty reduction strategies as a model for Africa. She detailed China’s transformation through reforms in various sectors and its opening up to international markets, which she believes could be relevant for African nations aiming to achieve similar economic growth and stability.
