Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andreas Katsaniotis’ call with the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan (Athens, 01.04.2022)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andreas Katsaniotis, had today, Friday, April 1, 2022 a telephone conversation with the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan. During the conversation, the two sides referred to the strong and historical ties between the two countries and reaffirmed the excellent level of bilateral relations based on common principles and values.

Mr. Katsaniotis made mention of the dynamic Diaspora that the two countries have and its contribution to the promotion of national issues, while he made special reference to the cooperation of the two countries in the framework of trilateral cooperation schemes (Greece – Cyprus – Armenia). For his part, Mr. Sinanyan referred to his country’s policy on the Diaspora. Finally, it was agreed to undertake and implement initiatives and actions, in cooperation with Cyprus, in the fields of culture and public diplomacy.
