SNC BOBO 2023: Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo takes stock of preparations in Guinea, guest of honor

The Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo took stock on Friday in Conakry, of the preparations for the 20th edition of the National Week of Culture in Prime Minister of the Republic of Guinea, Dr Bernard Goumou.

The Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo was received in audience on Friday April 14, 2023 in Conakry by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Guinea, Dr Bernard Goumou.

He was accompanied by some members of the National Organizing Committee of the 20th edition of National Culture Week (SNC).

Introduced by the Guinean Minister of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, Alpha Soumah, the Burkinabè delegation and the authorities of the Guinean Transition took stock of the cooperation between the two countries and discussed the preparations for the SNC planned to be held from April 29 to May 6 in Bobo-Dioulasso under the theme: <<Cultural Diversity: ferment of national unity>>.

For Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, Guinea being the guest of honor of this SNC, it was fashionable for the organizers to come and discuss with the first authorities of this country on the question.

In addition to the audience, Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo and his delegation had a working session on April 14, 2023 in Conakry, Republic of Guinea with his Guinean counterpart and his cabinet.

The objective of this working meeting was to present the content of the program for the 20th edition of National Culture Week (SNC) to Minister Alpha Soumah and his cabinet.

At the start of the work, the Spokesman of the Burkinabè government conveyed all the honor of his country to share with Guinea its know-how and the strengthening of ties of fraternal cooperation.

“In the absence of common borders, the two countries are linked by history and culture”, underlined Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.

For his part, Minister Alpha Soumah testified to his host, the joy of meeting him to share with him and his delegation, the rich cultural experiences of Burkina Faso with a view to carrying out film co-production projects together.

For the SNC Bobo 2023, the Guinean authorities promise to mark their participation in this biennale of culture with the presence of a strong delegation.

The country of Sékou Touré (1st president of the country) intends to come to the Country of Upright Men, with the famous Bembeya Jazz orchestra and the Amoukanama company.

Created in 1983, the National Culture Week (SNC) is a cultural event which essentially aims to promote culture in Burkina Faso in all its diversity.
