Sissili: The new head doctor of the Léo health district, Dr Aboubacary Abdou installed


The High Commissioner of the Sissili province, Tewendé Isaac Sia, proceeded on Monday September 18, 2023 in Léo, to the official installation of Dr. Aboubacary Abdou, head of the Léo health district, in presence of the Central -West regional health director, Dr Moussa Sana.



Appointed by ministerial decree of August 1, 2023, Dr Aboubacary Abdou, was installed in his position as Chief Physician of the Léo health district, this Monday, September 18, 2023, by the High Commissioner of the Sissili province, Tewendé Isaac Sia.



He replaces Dr Adama Ouattara in this position, who was admitted to a specialization competition.



Just like the staff representative, the representative of the constituted bodies, Lassané Nabollé, expressed his sincere thanks to the outgoing chief medical officer Dr Adama Ouattara for his frank collaboration, his availability and his spirit of openness and wished him good luck in his career.



He also welcomed the new chief physician to the family of constituted bodies and assured him of the availability of all the constituted bodies to work with him in carrying out the tasks awaiting him.



Dr Aboubacary Abdou expressed his gratitude to all the authorities who placed their trust in him for the management of the Léo health district.



He paid vibrant tribute to his predecessor Dr Adama Ouattara for his love of a job well done, rigor and the high sense of responsibility in the team spirit which he always knew how to demonstrate.



“The achievements made have brought the Léo health district to the rank of best district in the fight against malaria in 2022,” he maintained.



Dr Aboubacary Abdou said he understood the weight of his responsibility and the scale of the task which is now his.



To do this, he invited all of his colleagues to join hands to be stronger.



He asked his predecessor to accept forgiveness from all district staff for any discrepancies in language or behavior that may have affected him and wished him well in his career.



The new Chief Medical Officer said he is counting on the provincial authorities and his hierarchical superiors and wishes to benefit from their support and accompaniment for the success of his mission.



The outgoing chief medical officer expressed his gratitude to all the bodies, authorities and partners and collaborators for the support which has enabled the improvement of the provision of care in the Léo health district.



He hoped for the same mobilization around his successor for the success of his mission. He invites the new chief physician to be humble, available to listen and loyal to your colleagues to achieve the expected results.



The regional health director of the Central West, Dr Moussa Sana, joined his voice to that of the High Commissioner of Sissili, to congratulate the new chief doctor on his appointment and expressed their full availability to accompany him in the accomplishment of his mission.



Dr Sana expressed all their gratitude to the outgoing chief medical officer, Dr Adama Ouattara, for the work accomplished during his six-year stay at the head of the Léo health district and wished him good luck in his career.
