Wstern Cape Government host virtual walk-through of vaccination centre and briefs media, 6 to 7 July

Virtual walk-through of CTICC ‘vaccination centre of hope’ and digital press conference

Tomorrow, the Western Cape Government, the City of Cape Town and Discovery will undertake a site visit to check the readiness of the CTICC mass ‘vaccination centre of hope’, ahead of it its activation on Wednesday, 7 July 2021.

The virtual walk-through of this facility will be shared with the media and the public online, via Premier Winde’s Facebook page.

Following the virtual walk-through, members of the media are invited to join a special digital press conference with the three partners behind this exciting private public collaboration, where a Q&A session will be facilitated.

Premier Winde will be joined by the Provincial Minister of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, the Mayor of Cape Town, Dan Plato, the Head of Health in the Western Cape, Dr Keith Cloete, the CEO of Discovery Group, Adrian Gore, and the CEO of Discovery Health, Dr Ryan Noach.

We ask that members of the media please join virtually. A press kit with photographs will be distributed following the walk-through. Should photographers like to take their own photos, we can schedule separate appointments on Tuesday afternoon.

Both the walk-through and the digital press conference can be viewed by the media via MS Teams, which will be streamed to Premier Winde’s Facebook page.
