Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will travel to Skopje on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov.

The Alternate Minister will have successive meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Mr. Nikola Dimitrov, as well as with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Bujar Osmani. It is noted that after the meeting with Mr. Dimitrov, statements to the press will follow.

The next day, Friday, October 15, 2021, the Alternate Minister will meet with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Mr. Zoran Zaev.

The talks will focus on the country’s European perspective and the developments in the Western Balkans, while bilateral issues, such as the economy and energy, are also expected to be addressed.

In this context, the Alternate Minister will raise the issue of the full, consistent and in good faith implementation of the Prespa agreement with the aforementioned officials.
It is also noted that during his visit Mr. Varvitsiotis will have a meeting with Greek entrepreneurs, who are active in the region.
