Addis Ababa – High Level Development Forum Commits to Renewed Partnership with Ethiopia


The High Level Development Forum meeting, which convened in Addis Ababa, has pledged a renewed partnership aiming to bolster Ethiopia’s journey towards democratic governance, peace, and prosperity. This commitment was articulated through a communique issued by the forum today.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, the forum praised the Ethiopian Government for its leadership in adhering to the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement and advancing towards an inclusive National Dialogue for lasting peace. The forum also reiterated strong support for Ethiopia’s economic recovery and growth endeavors, emphasizing the need for an inclusive approach to peace and development that involves women, youth, and minority groups. The forum acknowledged the challenges Ethiopia faces, including those posed by climate change, conflict, and global economic shifts, and expressed readiness to support Ethiopia’s climate resilience and sustainable development goals. Additionally, the forum recognized progress in Ethiopia’s economic reforms and discussions with international financial institutions, highlighting the importance of external support for Ethiopia’s development and peace efforts.
