Maroua Amri (-62 kg) wins silver medal at Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov wrestling tournament

Tunisian wrestler Maroua Amri won the silver medal in the -62 kg category at the Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov wrestling tournament in Bulgaria, after losing to a Japanese opponent (2-4) at the final.

Amri had qualified for the final on Friday after defeating an American opponent 12-2.

Tunisia’s Khadija Jelassi had won the bronze medal in the 65kg category on Friday, after beating her Kazakh opponent 9-8.

The two Tunisian wrestlers are preparing for the African Championships, which will be held in Tunisia next May, and the World Championships scheduled for September and qualifying for the Paris Olympics in 2024.
